In the letter, Priebus says more than 130 members have committed to voting for his re-election, which suggests he has the chairmanship locked up for another term. Under party rules, 85 votes are needed to claim victory.
I am humbled by the over 130 RNC Members who I have talked to who have pledged their support and public endorsement for me to continue on as Chairman so we can finish the job that we started and continue to grow our Party, Priebus writes

Will the GOP ever learn?
I guess the only thing that qualifies him for the job is his strange first name. It certainly wasn’t for achieving results because on that score he is an abject failure.
Running on his record or running away from his record.
Just running away period would be fine with me.
“Heckuva job there, Reincey!”
Vindicating the Peter Principle.
Tea parties need to get themselves to their state conventions and take the legs out from under these RINOs. A few hundred votes is usually enough to do it.
So they can finish the job destroying the Republican party.
The RNC now has an answer to why pledge money is down...
Just one more reason the GOP needs to just die and go the way of the Whigs.
I’ve resigned my affiliation with the GOP and will never vote for one of their candidates again - unless it’s a staunch Conservative in the likeness of Reagan or better.
If indeed we ever even have an election again - I’m most likely going to go for candidates who are Conservative in a third party.
They will meet in Jan. and it looks like Priebus has it wrapped up...here we go again.
Eric, can’t say I am surprised but looks like we are doomed. IF Hillary runs she will win. The GOP is becoming the party of rinos and losers.
If Reince really wants the job, he might want to prep a little better for the next inevitable go-round with Chrissy Matthews. Maybe Ted Cruz could help Reince out with the debate skills.
A name change may be in order as well.
Interestingly, both Michigan reps were replaced last time, and Agema's very conservative.
The proverbial “bad penny” turns up again.
DOA!
I’m not a GOP member, so my opinion on this don’t mean jack, BUT... If Priebus is back in you folks (the GOP, not you directly) are NUTS.
If we don't like the pick, it's up to us to be precinct delegates, get good delegates to state conventions, and make sure the good state delegates vote properly when this position is up.
I'll add that Michigan replaced their RNC Committee people at the last election, largely over the delegate mess.
