At least 304 early votes in St. Lucie County were not counted, according to a Florida elections official during early voting at a canvassing board meeting Friday night.
David Drury, head of the Division of Elections Bureau of Voting Systems Certifications also made a recommendation that the board re-run every early vote. The board will discuss that after running the 304 votes. It took about four hours to run the military and overseas ballots, which needed to be transferred by hand.
The board is preparing to run 304 ballots that were not counted.
Two attorneys are petitioning the Florida Secretary of State for a recount of every vote cast in Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach counties in the tightly contested District 18 race, which favored Patrick Murphy over U.S. Rep. Allen West.
Attorneys Jeffrey Scott Shapiro of Boca Raton and Mark Young of West Palm Beach sent out the request. Both have previously volunteered for West's campaign. However, West campaign manager Tim Edson said the attorneys sent the petition independent of West's team.

The real question now becomes can the ‘chain of custody’ of the ballots be trusted with all these ballots here/there, etc.?
I am so thankful he has not conceded!
Regardless of the outcome, this just shows how absurdly our voting process is managed. The fact that we go through this stuff year after year without addressing the problems is just embarrassing. I am hoping Allen West becomes a vocal leader on this issue.
Exactly what Romney should be doing too.

UPDATE: ALLEN WEST BEST ON THE GROUND: On the phone with Gary Angelo Galiano - 304 Ballots they found in a box somewhere PLUS AT LEAST another 304 more now. The public is going on, back and forth, attorneys, etc, there is still a box of over a 1000 ballots still missing they are “trying to find” EVERYONE IS SCREAMING and YELLING AND ARGUING, it is flawed and out of control. The state representative has recommended a FULL RECOUNT but the canvassing authority has to approve that. Everyone is yelling WE WANT A FULL RECOUNT!!!!!

I would not celebrate yet. Dems pull this stuff all the time in close elections. They keep finding additional votes to keep their candidate on top. Do you want to bet that most of these votes are for the Dem?
