You are mistaken, Chris. Florida law provides for a candidate or voter to file a contest (lawsuit) once the results are certified to the state. That is the remedy the judge was talking about this afternoon.
A contest is a civil proceeding where the courts have jurisdiction over the ballots, counts, etc. Until the votes are certified, the courts have no jurisdiction.

In light of this latest proof of the chaos in that office, I can’t imagine the canvassing board not agreeing to do a full recount of all the early votes, and any other subset the state elections people find discrepancies with.
