A dozen female members of the House staunchly defended U.N. ambassador Susan Rice against Republican criticism over her remarks on the deadly Sept. 11 Libya attack, suggesting the GOP lawmakers' comments were racist and sexist.
"It is a shame that anytime something goes wrong, they pick on women and minorities," Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, the next chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, told reporters Friday at a Capitol Hill news conference.
Republican Sens. John McCain and Lindsey Graham earlier this week called Rice untrustworthy and unqualified to be the nation's top diplomat if President Barack Obama chooses her to succeed Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. The two vowed to block any Senate confirmation if she is nominated.
The House women, a majority of them Africa-American, lashed out at McCain and Graham and demanded that they retract their criticism.
"To batter this woman because they don't feel they have the ability to batter President Obama is something we the women are not going to stand by and watch," said Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis. "Their feckless and reckless speculation is unworthy of their offices as senators."
Said Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-D.C.: "We will not allow a brilliant public servant's record to be mugged to cut off her consideration to be secretary of state."

Who was it who sent her out that to tell the cover story. The Un ambassador? How was she in the position to know anything? And so aggressively: that just one talk show but them all. But she had a black face and had the right sex.

I called Bachmann’s DC office as well as my rep, and fairly begged for her to consider a coalition of Republican women nation wide (not just 12) to counter this highjacking of the issue made by two military men, Graham & McCain, by letting the Marxist women in congress turn it into sex and race regarding Susan Rice with no push back.
Outrageous! You guys with women in your lives must ask them to call also.

These women are arguing we should not look into the murder of 4 white men (2 of whom saved 30 lives) which involves looking at the veracity of a black woman,Rice, who we know lied.....and we are racists? I think they are racist for counting as nothing the need to turn over every rock to find out how this could have happened, and how the administration could have reflexly schilled for the muslim terrorists, not Americans who were assaulted. They are the racists, not the people who are asking only for the truth.

I heard a women refer to herself last nits as a “feminist”. Made me think why not me calling myself a “masculanist”? That would include all of us males over 50 who have been blamed for every evil in the world.
