How do you know your bat wouldn't have killed someone - it appears you are out to hurt someone!! And your wishful thinking that you turning around and walking away is your answer with not a clue that the 'nice man with issues' would NEVER grab you from behind!
So far you have shown HOW LITTLE you know about JESUS/The Word. ANYONE who knows The Word KNOWS we NEVER turn our back to the enemy - As 'The amour of Christ' has no protection for the back. Why with all your bragging you don't even know the basics? And obviously you are not obedient to The Word either - as you are to put on the armour daily! And that would led you know that there is NO armour for the back.
And why would you turn your back anyway - it demonstrates your FAITHLESSNESS?!!
You can find a lot of His teachings in a collection of books called "The Holy Bible".
Zip it, sarcastic one - you already showed how little you know about God's WORD! Doesn't take long to see how ill equipped you are with "THE sharper than a double-edged SWORD!"
You criticize a woman because she brandished a weapon at a guy who was committing a crime against her and her child, while the possibility that he was going to commit additional crimes was clearly present.
Then you state that you stroll in the park carrying a deadly weapon in case you encounter a dangerous situation.
You make Jesus cry when you use his name and make absolutely no sense in your argument.
“No. I would have acted like the rational and intelligent person that I am and would turned around and went the other way. I would have pulled out my cellphone and called 911. “
You are clearly not a mother of a young child.
The pervert follows you because you have turned the other way.
The pervert is not threatened by you, because he can be done assaulting you and on his merry way before the police arrive.
As a woman, you are highly unlikely to be strong enough to keep the pervert off you, and any object you wield as a club is likely to be forced from your fingers.
You have not only your own life to protect, but that of your child.
By the way, Jesus never spoke of turning the other cheek in response to genital exposure. Public genital exposure would have resulted in immediate *stoning* in first century Judean culture as uncovering one’s nakedness with any but one’s spouse was defined as sinful behavior. Moreover, He was a strong advocate of protecting the defenseless and not allowing them to become a prey to others.
Jesus would not advise this woman to “turn the other cheek” and walk away from a man who proved himself to be a threat to herself and the well-being of her child.
Why are you trying to distort the woman’s behavior as sinful and unrighteous when it is the man who sinned against her and her child, and the man who was committing adultery with her in his heart?
