My guess is that the rocket attacks were waiting for the result of the Presidential elections. They think Obama will not back Israel strongly. So they can attack now.
Benghazi however is related to the strong response from Israel. They have the goods on Obama. They are using McCain and Graham (IE - Lieberman) to increase the heat on Obama over Benghazi. Obama cannot support the Pali's as the Pali's thought he could. Israel has been freed from its American chains and they took out the top Pali commander right at the beginning. No holds barred. Now the Pali's are gonna bring in the Egyptian PM to try to stop the devastating Israeli attacks.
So basically Obama has been horribly compromised on this issue due to his criminal activities. If the Obama drones had the ability for free thought, they would know this. Instead all they can do now is cry for the Pali's. Might I suggest they all get on a boat and act as human shields in Pali land.
This could be the opening salvo in the Iran War because Hamas is a proxy army of Iran getting missiles and other arms from them (and the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood).
Iran did not want a war with Israel to start before the election, IMO, because that could have resulted in a Romney win if Iran succeeded in inflicting casualties on Israel and the US (which they seem confident that they can do) so the green light wasn’t given by Iran for Hamas to start rocketing Israel until after the election.
Next up, Hezbollah starts rocketing Israel from the North!
Hezbollah and Hamas tag-teamed Israel back in 2006 on Iran’s orders when each of them attempted to kidnap Israeli soldiers in a coordinated attack in the north and south, which only succeeded in capturing Shalit on the Gaza border but did force Israel to fight a two-front war.
