Apparently, like tragic Greek heroes, administrations grow arrogant after their reelection wins. They believe that they are invincible and that their public approval is permanent rather than fickle.

The result is that Nemesis zeroes in on their fatal conceit and with a boom corrects their hubris. Or is the problem in some instances simply that embarrassments and scandals, hushed up in fear that they might cost an administration an election, explode with a fury in the second term?

And, for that matter, most of the votes of White suburban Liberal weenies, wiggers, sodomites, media professionals, college professors, and children under the age of twenty-five, too.

So, yes, he’s about as invulnerable as any president in American history.

Wow, people just don’t pay attention, I’ve known this from listening to others say this for the last 5 years, I’m including the last campaign. Actually I’ve know this longer, because every time the Dims say they are going to raise taxes on the rich, they really mean anyone who has a job.

A good start would be for the U.S. Treasury NOT to pay ‘refunds’ to people who don’t pay taxes. And NOT to issue SS checks to people who didn’t contribute into the fund, and alcoholic/drug addicts who get SSI (I’m not referring to SSI for truly disabled), That would go a long way toward reducing the deficit, probably farther than simply ‘taxing the rich.’

Actually, I, myself, would argue a slightly different, but related angle - that Obama is far different from past presidents.

That is, he’s an intellectual medioctiry with delusions of grandeur and a persecution comlex who is in a position to take the nation to the very brink of ruin.

I don’t think the same thing could be said of too many predecessors.
