I still have 1 year left on a contract with DirecTV, thanks to some equipment upgrades we got a year ago, but when it expires, I'm seriously considering dropping the whole thing, and just go with some form of Roku or AppleTV type of solution, with streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and/or Hulu to get only what I want at considerably lower prices.

You and me both. I have all these DirectTv channels that I never watch, except for the Walking Dead and the occasional National Geographic show. After the contract is up, I am getting the hell rid of it.

“After the contract is up, I am getting the hell rid of it.”

We dumped DirecTV after 10 years with them. They’d drop a good channel from the lineup the same month the bill increased by $10. (Yet, we continued to receive LOGO homo station.) Enough. We ended that and went to Comcast, and we do like it However, we’re planning to dump that due to the relationship with NBC, Obama, et al.

The HDTV antenna option seems interesting. I’m trying to get as much info as possible about that option.
