One of the things that makes it impossible for me to listen to "Livin' on a Prayer" for more than about 10 seconds is that the reason Tommy and Gina are "down on their luck" is because "union been on strike," meaning Tommy refuses to work for what the shipyard is willing to pay him.

"Our members are on strike because they have had enough"Buh bye. Don't let the heel of the loaf hit you in the ass...

"Apparently the Bakers Union is claiming that in the Hostess reorganization the Teamsters Union got the better deal. The Teamsters arent honoring the strike by the Bakers who could probably care less if the company survives."So the Bakers could take out the Teamsters? Schadenfreude!
Oh, but wait, those Teamsters won't have it!
"The Teamsters Union on Thursday urged a separate bakers union to vote in secret on whether to return to work at plants owned by Irving-based Hostess Brands, which has threatened to liquidate if sufficient bakery workers dont agree to get back on the job by 4 p.m. today.Teamster Hostess members and all Hostess employees should know this is not an empty threat or a negotiating tactic (by Hostess), but the certain outcome if members of the (bakers union) continue to strike, the Teamsters said in a news release."

Twinkies will still exist
Some smart person will pick up the recipes, brands and equipment for pennies on the dollar. The union workers will all have been fired, or otherwise, the new owner will move production to another plant.

If GM did this in 87’ instead knuckling under to lifetime healthcare benefits after retirement, they wouldn’t have died a slow agonizing death, they would have been morta-bom in 2 weeks and risen from the dead, instead the UAW bled them dry like the Resturant in “Goodfellas”....

The Unions cutting their own throats while destroying U.S. business again. Is it any wonder why many jobs go overseas where there are no unions.................???????
They are parasites, killing their host.

"Our members are on strike because they have had enough," bakers' union president Frank Hurt said in a statement Tuesday.I agree - union bullies have had enough paychecks - enough donations given to democrats. Fire 'em. Who cares if Union goons have jobs... Obama will put them all on 'disability' and the country will go under sooner. Go for it.... it's time people woke up to the fact that choices have consequences.... Check out Europe - they're starting to 'get it'... Europe's elites lied to them, just like our elites are lying to us.

Those little chocolate cupcakes filled with fake creamy stuff with a little doodle of white frosting on top are to die for.*
Haven't had a Twinkie for a long time though--maybe I'd better stock up. *

What sweet, sugary revenge to have so many union thugs lose their jobs.

The price is right for Wonder Bread compared with three and four dollar bread products. I think I paid $1.35 for a small loaf at grocery store.
