PARIS Some of the culprits in an attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, had links to al-Qaidas North Africa arm, a top U.S. military official said Wednesday.
Gen. Carter Ham, the head of the U.S. militarys Africa Command, said some of the attackers had ties to Al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb, which was built on the remains of a former Algerian militant group.

And this is the same General Ham who was relieved from duty. My opinion, General Ham heard the calls for help, heard those who ordered help to “stand down” and went against orders to ready assistance.

Outrageous that nobody popped his head into the Oval Office to share this intelligence with POTUS.
Ham is still talking, saying plainly that Al Queda was involved.
