On Monday night, Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly had some tough words for secular progressives, highlighting their purportedly dangerous views on social and economic issues. The subject of his “Talking Points Memo” segment asked, “Is traditional America gone for good?”
The popular television host commenced the segment by noting his belief that traditional America can, once again, rise to prominence, however, he contended that “it will take a very special person to make that happen.” To corroborate O’Reilly’s point that the nation may, indeed, bounce back to its traditional roots, he noted that, despite winning re-election, Obama is slipping in popularity.
“Left-wing ideology did not win the day for Barack Obama. Big spending on federal programs did. That’s the key,” O’Reilly said. “Because many in the media would have us believe that liberal ideology was confirmed by this election. It was not.”
Or particular note, O’Reilly hammered the president’s secular progressivism, claiming that Obama is “the poster guy” for the anti-traditionalist movement. After showcasing statistics and information surrounding births out of wedlock, abortion and other societal issues, the host noted that secular progressives have done little to curb these phenomena.
“Abortion is settled law in the USA, but it should be discouraged, because human DNA is present upon conception,” O’Reilly said. “Thus the situation becomes a human rights issue.”
The host asked if Americans want to live in a nation “where potential human life…is terminated for convenience.” As for marijuana legalization, another issue he tackled during the segment, he held little back, noting that, ”Legalizing pot sends a message that it’s fine to use it.”
From their stance on the “mythical war on women” to out-of-control entitlement spending, O’Reilly had no accolades to shower upon secular progressives. In fact, he made it clear that the movement, led by Obama, is a hazard to the nation’s social and political health.
“I believe the American people can be persuaded that the far left is a dangerous outlet bent on destroying traditional America and replacing it with a social free-fire zone that replaces it with dependency and poverty,” O’Reilly proclaimed.
That is what has always just 'burned' me up about BOre ... always smoothing over what Obama is doing, saying he's 'such a smart guy' and 'he's not a bad man' based on his one interview with him, acting like he has an inside track to understanding Obama because of that one stinking interview. It's been disgusting. Last night - oh my, Obama isn't such a great guy after all. I can't watch O'Reilly any more ... just happened to hear him bloviating on the TV in the other room - my dad was watching.
Now he does it. A week after the election. Thanks a lot Bill
Is there a workable link for this? I missed it last night and love to see Juanny hammered.
Ratings must be slipping, or he must be reading about all the people canceling their cable.
Say what you want about O’Reilly, he nailed it last night with his commentary.
http://www.billoreilly.com/video#play
Thanx, tried it and only received a blank screen where Adam Corolla was supposed to be playing.
Concur.
Whatever the reason, slipping ratings (we’re not in the mood for bloviating, and won’t be maybe ever again), a few days off hanging out with family and neighbors, cleaning up hurricaine mess w no electricity, no heat, reminiscing re the wisdom of the nuns back in Levittown, whatever it was, if he falters on theis common sense stance, he’ll have no viewers in no time.
Republicans lost; they are rudderless and their sails are flapping. Conservatives did not lose, they were not in the race.
Thank you for the link. I do not have sound on the computer at my store but I will watch when I get home.
TALKING POINTS MEMO
Talking Points 11/12
November 12, 2012
Is traditional America gone for good?
agreed.
Then there are the “Personally I’m pro-life but won’t inflict my views on others” crowd.
This makes them feel nice and cozy because they wouldn’t want to kill THEIR child, but have no problem when others kill theirs.
After Limbaugh’s comments about not being able to defeat Santa Claus and O’Reilly’s comments on election night about the takers outnumbering the producers, liberals pundits i.e. nitwits everywhere had a fecal conniption about their statements. How dare they speak the truth. But it is the truth. Libs have to be honest. The great portion of the Dem Party constituency looks upon government as the big gift giver. Why work when someone will hand you a dollar? They, the lib pundits, are unable to face facts.
Same thing, blank screen. Do you have to Register with the site or be a Premium member? BTW, I was able to get the Talking points for 11/12 to play on The Blaze site and that was only BOR speaking. Thanks.
“Ratings must be slipping, or he must be reading about all the people canceling their cable.” BINGO!!! I am sure that the cable-dish providers are able to determine what-when you are watching and BO gets those numbers. I haven’t tuned in to the “heavy weapons” hating BO since 11/5. Sell me out once, shame on you. Continue to give you ratings...shame on me.
Teddy had a moment of clarity. It won’t last.
[...] The cost of making it illegal is far more than the damage it causes, and too much of our court system is tied up with this RELATIVELY harmless substance. (far less harmful than alcohol, once again)
It used to be legal, and you never hear about those days.
Agreed. Not to mention that by O'Reilly's logic we should ban tobacco and alcohol so as not to "send a message that its fine to use it."
Legalizing pot is all about money. Big Sis wants to get the tax revenue on the sale of pot.
