I’m afraid Hollywood will wreck the movie, they wreck so many good stories.

Yeah, the number of good science fiction books that made good movies is very few. A damn shame. I know the media are very different, visual as opposed to “cerebral,” but I think the moviemakers just want to make their own personal version rather than just doing the book justice.
And in doing so, they ruin the project and don’t come off looking good, either, making it a lose-lose. You’d think they’d realize that, but logical thought seems foreign in Hollywood.
