During a discussion on Monday, NBC's Today show crew could barely contain their enthusiasm at the prospect of Hillary Clinton running for president again in 2016, with new third-hour co-host Willie Geist proclaiming: "Can you think of a more qualified human being? She lived in the White House for eight years with another President, she was a United States senator, and now she's got every world leader on speed dial, so there'd be no questions about her qualifications."
Early in the conversation, Geist touted how "there are already polls out in Iowa, she's got 58% of the vote for 2016" and argued her run was "inevitable." Fellow co-host Savannah Guthrie thought Clinton could definitely be persuaded: "...if the head of the party comes to her in two years, if everybody comes around and says, 'You've got to do it, you could be the first female president,' I think it would be hard for her to say no."
Newsreader Natalie Morales added: "Are we ready for a female president? I think most of America probably is."
Geist concluded: "It's just a question of if she wants to run or not." Weatherman Al Roker gushed over Bill Clinton being back on the campaign trail as well: "And her significant other, too. It would be kind of fun, too....Have him on the stump." Geist replied: "Imagine the excitement?" Roker remarked: "Oh, man. Wow." Morales wondered: "Who has the bigger spotlight, that's for sure, right?"
On September 10, following the Republican and Democratic conventions, correspondent Andrea Mitchell appeared on Today to start off media rooting for Hillary: "She says she has no plans to run, but if she did, some say she would clear the field." Mitchell offered a similar report on Clinton the day after the election as well.
Amid all the excitement on Monday for the Secretary of State running for president, no one mentioned her role in the failures surrounding the terrorist attack in Libya and how that might be a stumbling block in any future political plans.

The smartest woman in the world, that could not pass DC law boards, and always has a legal defense team on retainer.
This country will be quite the nasty piece of work after Hillary wraps up her 8-year stint in 2024. At that point, look for the handoff to a hispanic: Antonio Villagiarosa or the San Antonio mayor.
So the big question is, who does she resemble the most? Ben Franklin or the Quaker Oats guy?
The woman who wrote that “Apostle Barack” book says the “Spirit of God” told her that Hillary is next. My arms too short to box with God.
Certainly not the important stuff, and it shows: look at the younger leftist voters.
In a way wish I was older; I'm too tired to deal with living in yet another socialized environment.
“More qualified human being”?
Benedict Arnold would be more qualified than Satan’s daughter.
“no condition to run in 2016”
Yet, more than 2/3 of Americans approve of her. No Repub comes close. As far left as country as drifted, the Presidency is hers for the asking. She`d be a hot knife cutting through the warm butter of token Repub opposition.
Obama has failed on all counts, yet he romped all over us. It`s about adoration of personalities, not accomplishment.
Freepers need to boycott NBC and Comcast Universal which owns them, they are traitors!
Hmm, I may have to disagree. I think she could take him there.
I would start with Peewee Herman.
I’d rather chug ipecac.
How do we know she’s qualified? She shredded the records of half of what she’s done, and can’t remember most of the rest of it.
Most Red State phonebooks are full of more qualified candidates.
Never heard of Willie Giest but I suspect I knew his sister, Poltergeist, just a wisp of a young thing.
BOO!
To #5: Your description of Hillary sounds like that of my car, except that my car still runs reasonably well and has never voted for a Democrat.
Like
I would never vote for her, but I would be hard-pressed to find someone more qualified and more experienced than Hillary Clinton.
What I don’t get is that if the media is so in love the Clintons then why did they throw her under the bus in ‘08?
At least 200 million of them.
All Americans. Most of them straight. Some are female.
I mean really female.
