The petitions all came from individuals and not state governments. Then they are worthless. This shouldn't be in Front Page News. This is not worthy of the last page. It is not news. It is just a bunch of people who aren't happy.
Until their Duly Elected State Governments petition the United States for Independence or declare their independence, it is just a waste of electrons on a website.

The Duly Elected State Governments put secession to the people of that state. If passed, then out of courtesy, FedGov is informed. Nobody in this case asks FedGov for permission.
