lol ...thats how walmart does it.
This is crap. A friend of mine works as a cashier at Kroger in Columbus, Oh. She received mail and brochures prior to the election, not only from the unions but from Kroger, urging her to vote for Obama. She showed it to me and I decided I will never shop there again.
Eat your peas. - B.H.Obama
Can’t blame them for reducing to 28 hours. American voters are to blame with their willingness to reelect the hardest communists black Muslim.
Aaahhhh, the unintended consequences of gubermint meddling. They’ll NEVER learn.
“...and the more the plans fail, the more the planners plan.” - RReagan
If women will perform the same work that a man does, for only 73 cents where a man is paid $1, then companies will fire male workers and staff up with as many women as possible.
I don't see this happening anywhere.
QED: The whole "73 cents" thing that feminists push is a bunch of baloney. Companies WILL make decisions that benefit their bottomline. Companies WILL emphasize part-time workers to avoid Obamacare. But the "underpaid woman" thing is a myth.
The truth is, in order to get things like universal health care and a revamped education system, then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more.

Kroger is union too. I am sure they were encouraged by their dear union brethren to vote for the O. My daughter worked there part time while she was in school and had to belong to the union.
This was predicted. Old article from September.
Franchisors warn Obamacare will halve profits
The International Franchise Association held a convention in Washington this week where most of the Radio Shack, Dunkin Donuts, Curves and other franchisers were grumbling about new federal regulations, especially the impact of Obamacare.
Most, said Atlanta Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken franchiser David Barr, presumed that the reports about how hard Obamacare will hit them were overblown. “They had their head in the sand,” he told Secrets.

These stories are getting traction. I didn’t think it would hit so quick.
All of the big companies trying to get out ahead of obamacare regs & costs will shortly be getting a visitor from the Obamastapo. The kenyan doesn’t like bad PR and will send in the thugs. Guaranteed.
When I worked for Kroger in the late 1980’s, I remember it messing with my hours so I wouldn’t join the UFCW. Didn’t care much at the time, as I didn’t care for the UFCW. I wonder if any of the employees affected here are members of the union?
A running list of these type hourly work force reductions needs to be maintained.
So far:
Kroger
Papa Johns
Applebees
Durden Restaurants
Who else? Please add.
I foresee a mad scramble among workers trying to get a second under 30 hour/week job to get enough hours to make ends meet. The lucky people will have two jobs. The not so lucky or qualified will get poorer real fast.
Is Kroger a union shop?
Let them eat union bosses if they get hungry.
To the victor, go the spoils....
In this case they are rotten.... and deserved.....
This is all to change the concept of full-time to less than 40 hours a week, to be like Europe.
Kroger to Slash Hourly Workers to Avoid Obamacare Penalties
***Look at the bright side. For every 3 workers that gets dropped down 10 hours/week, there is a new 30 hour/week job created. Obamacare is a job creator! /barf
HOORAY Kroger and HOORAY Durden Restaurants! Prepare. Persevere.
