The last time they took charge Alexandria had a Great Library, the Sphinx had a nose and the Pyramids had smooth sides.

Alexandria has a sizable library today, and you can search its catalog here, but it might not have a lot of what you're looking for. I found no books by Whittaker Chambers, but Irving Babbitt, Frank Meyer and Russell Kirk have somehow made into the Alexandrian Library.
