I think such ugly remarks about P4's wife are unworthy of FR, but I see such misogyny regularly. "I'd hit it" "Not guilty"-- Even the hottest hottie will lose the heat if she lives long enough, unless she gets the Nancy Pelosi surgery and looks like a space alien.
If it's OK for P4 to cheat, what was all the "for better or worse" about? He's kind of dorky, wrinkly in appearance, and probably has to use one of those penis pumps, and there's no word about his wife is running aorund on HIM.
Yes, the coments about his wife’s appearance are very troubling. As if he is Cary Grant. A four decade marriage and two children together would be a bond way beyound mere looks.
After Tuesday all’s fair for Moonbats and Layabouts in my book. Mrs P4 is a big time moonbat who works for the regime. She is a disciple of Fauxcohontas herself, Granny Warren. She deserves everything she gets and more.
Pumped Petraeus is ‘way too graphic. Yuk.
I used to have arguments with a friend who was basically gorgeous and had really good “work” on her face to stay that way. She was furious that BarbBush didn’t plastify her face. To which I responded, She has nothing to prove to anyone. Perhaps Holly feels that way too.
I guess you can go on with plastic surgery if you do a little at a time. But one would think you;d have to start early or at least before the change would be really radical.
I saw Before photos of some woman in a sitcom and honestly, it looked like she had an entire new head. Scary. Or perhaps the same head on a new body. Interchangeability is the surgery of the future.
Well said. And is there anything more pathetic than a 60-yr old woman who is trying to look as if she's still 40? or 30 or 20?
For those FReepers who criticize the way Holly Petraeus looks ... do you realize how many hours, and how much make-up and/or plastic surgery it takes to even try to look "hot" at age 60? Especially after having borne children?
Such self-obsession, particularly at that age, would be unseemly, to put it mildly.
My lovely, loving grandmother would never have given a thought to trying to look "hot" at age 60. By that age she was wrinkled, and her hair was all white; and after bearing five children, she had gradually lost her shape.
I think grandpa loved her all the same, unless he was putting on an awfully good act. When she cared for grandpa through his final illness, I don't think he ever wished that she would work harder on her looks.
I guess marriage in America isn't like that anymore. I find that sad.
That little cultural commentary aside: It's obvious there is a lot more here to Petraeus's resignation than an affair.
