She reported Paula to the FBI due to Paulas threatening e-mails stay away from my guy. That's kind of odd also, Onyx...why didn't Jill just give her good friend Petraeus a call and tell him a crazy woman is threatening her.
Bringing the FBI into the loop is what ostensibly cost Petraeus his job.
Like so many things in this story...that just doesn't make sense.

It's my understanding that she did tell him, and that he wrote some e-mails to his paramour that the FBI discovered.
Then the paramour followed up with threatening e-mails to this Kelly and she reported those to the FBI. To not report to proper authority would involve her in a serious cover-up.
Kelly was a State Dept. liaison assigned to the general.

why didn't Jill just give her good friend Petraeus a call and tell him a crazy woman is threatening her.Good question. What if she did? Which might explain why Broadwell told her to get away from him. The general undoubtedly has a huge ego and feels, or at least felt, invincible. He thought he could handle these women, ...in both senses of the word. Ah, hubris.
