NO, I think cauceses can be manipulated too easily and should go away - they are passe. Having EVERY state GOP run a CLOSED primary ensures that ALL GOP voters, and ONLY GOP VOTERS, in each state get a say in who gets the delegates from their state. That is NOT controled by the GOP in DC. However, it keeps wack-jobs like Paul from manipulating votes.
