That is true and one of the roots of our problem. Tens of thousands of small cuts over 50 years and we get to this point where we are finally hobbled the economy so badly that now we are starting to get poorer.
But you can't point to one single reason for it. I've had people say, in the discussion of the crippling regulations - well what regulation would you get rid of?
It sound like such a reasonable question but it's like asking which drop of water sunk the Titanic.
One must wait for the right time to strike. Our time will come and “real tax reform” will pass. It is not now. This time must be used to “solidify” our political position. NOT to fight losing ideology battles that weaken us politically.
In other words, GOP must simply play politics for the near future, until 2014 elections. Then, use 2016 for sweeping change.
