Chill.. Think you are over analyzing.. As seen on Jay Leno street interview, people will pretend to know something.. If asked do you like tea party..they will say yes. strongly? sure.. They might not know what tea party is or stands for...
11% is just about right..

Two reasons:

1. I’m sure some were tea-party haters who just lied to the pollsters. I sure would feed some BS to a pollster if I thought it would make the other side look bad.

2. The other part of it is poorly informed voters. I heard another exit poll question that asked if people agreed that expansion of government was bad because it increased the chance of corruption. 71% of those polled agreed - yet a majority of them voted for Obama anyway.

Unionized schools don’t teach American History and Civics like most of us learned, the family conversation over the dinner table has been replaced by texting from the shared data plan, and how many kids nowadays are learning traditional values from Boy or Girl Scouts, 4H, or at Sunday School? They plug in earbuds and listen to rap songs filled with four-letter words instead of paying attention in class and far to many just drop out before graduation and join gangs or the welfare rolls.

Yes I’m broad-brushing and we have some outstanding young people but we also - without any doubt - have a deteriorating culture and a disheartening number of people who haven’t got a clue about much of anything (besides whose winning on Idol and DWTS).

“Chill?” What did I say that was over the top? Two sentences which your post agreed with, except that you maintain a lot of answers are out of ignorance, rather than lying. I maintain that if one answers a “yes, I agree with...” and don’t know what is being agreed with, one is a liar. What’s so over the top about that?
