This isn’t the first time I’ve heard/read this, either.

He didn’t rush home from Walter Reed when he was told but he made his scheduled meeting with Panetta and passed it all off to Panetta—he then left to make his 6:30 dinner no matter what. He went to bed or whatever after that, he had to campaign, ya know.
