IF this was supposed to be a simple kidnapping, why not use stealth and just take the ambassador from the premises or when he was out running? They had every opportunity. Why a full onslaught on the compound? WHY was security pulled after several attempts on the compound were thwarted?
Why have a video prepared by an FBI muslim snitch months in advance to blame the Israelis for an assault on ALL of our embassies in the ME on September 11?
Why did the Cairo embassy issue an apology for a video no one knew existed except some idiot muslim cleric who was obviously directed to it BEFORE the protests even began?

It looks like there was a deal in the works ahead of time. The enemy had been given a promise there would be no defense of the embassy.
Though there could be multiple ways to execute a kidnapping, the kidnapping itself was not the end it was to be a means for Obama to:
1. Show his mastery of the Muslim world prior to the election;
2. Show that the Muslim world would follow his lead;
3. Have the Ambassador returned safely;
4. Drown out any message on the economy;
5. Other benefits - stick it to the Israelies.
