The reason that the Communists now in power have sissified the Military is to prevent a Coup....which we sorely need.
Those of us who lived Duty, Honor, Country are getting pretty old now, and the new gang has no sense of American Values of old.
I am sure he would do what the rest of us did....go to work. The biggest thing I hope that the Republicans learn from this is not to nominate another liberal Republican. That was the biggest mistake right there.
Two bad examples. D'Souza and Maraniss fell far short of exposing the true Soetoro.
I suspect (hope) that Obama’s free pass from the media just expired.
They were always far more about defeating Romney than supporting Obama. Now that R has been defeated, there is prestige and career advancement to be won by exposing O scandals. Their personal incentives now outweigh their ideological ones.
I can dream, can’t I?
Just finished listening to a CD of Breitbart’s book he completed just before his death. He makes the profound, and IMO absolutely correct point that the real battle is and always has been cultural. That the political system of a country is in the long run only a reflection of its culture. (Absent extreme physical force such as with USSR).
And the Right has for many decades now utterly abandoned the culture-creating field to the Left. Plato or one of the other old Greek philosophers said something along the lines that he’d be perfectly willing to let somebody else make the laws for the State if he got to write its songs.
Well, who’s been writing our songs for the last 50 years?
AB’s death, BTW, was IMO one of the greatest disasters of recent years, for this country and in the long run the world.
That's just my prediction.
He cannot be impeached, as the Senate is stuffed with Democrats and would never vote to impeach him, even if he personally armed the Mexicans under F&F, personally butchered the Ambassador in Benghazi and even at a live screaming white baby on national television.
Won’t happen.
There is no legitimate way to get rid of this scourge, so we must starve the beast and watch as the nation gets torn to shreds.
The only solutions will be to take over a red state and secede, say Texas, although even Texas is going blue.
The other alternative is Civil War, which is coming.
The ball is set in motion and that is where we are headed.
The US military is MUCH stronger then 1861.
The succession would last minutes.
Problem is Republicans are afraid of calling out the true Obama.
I would have called him a communist for the last 4 years and ngrained it in everyone’s mind.
Each incident would have produced a new ad with the comment, “do you believe it now?”
the more the media complained, the more ads I would have produced to show they are in bed with Obama.
The day after the first debate. My ad would have said, “if you don’t believe it by now there is no hope for America.”
That’s how you fight a war.
Many of us didn’t wake up the next morning because we never were able to go to sleep on Tuseday. I was awake all night and crying. Our country is lost. In 4 years we will be completely under the jackboot of Obamacare. In 4 years the Marxists/Communists will be in such deep cover and also overtly present in all areas of our Government, we won’t be able to rescue the country. Sadly I say, stick a fork in America, we are done as a free nation.
PS-MOST of our Military still believe in the Founding principles of our once great nation. It’s just all the entrenched Liberals at the top taking down the Military.
No doubt that Andrew would continue the fight. He would continue to expose the Democrat Media Complex.
WAR.
The republicans with thier leader boner are already kneeling before the messiah for forgiveness, not to be counted on for anything! The people who are disenfranchised through voter fraud and idiocy across the board must step forward
Breitbart woulda been undercover in those fraudulent precincts!
A pleasant dream it is.Meanwhile, back in reality, the instructive case is Dan Rather and the fraudulent Texas Air National Guard memos."
What did Dan Rather do when it was proven that the TANG memos story had more holes than Swiss cheese? He doubled down. He confidently expected to be exonerated and the subject changed, and to continue business-as-usual. And to a large measure he was absolutely right. CBS hired an investigator for the purpose of whitewashing the affair, and they swept it under the rug.Even tho it is true that Rather was indeed forced out.
The reality of this case is that Fox News was all over Benghazi, and the rest of journalism was studiously MIA. Do you now suppose that the rest of journalism is now going to go all mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa after the fact? Do you now suppose that the rest of journalism is going to give Fox News awards for courageous journalism? They will continue to circle the wagons and stonewall. Its what they do. Their bias is expressed far more in what they do not say than it is in what they do say. And in this case it isnt just CBS but all of journalism except Fox News which is actively involved in keeping the public in the dark. And, in the process, slandering Fox News.
The idea around which liberalism coheres is that nothing actually matters except PR.
Want to vet Obama? Read “The Manchurian President” by Aaron Klein. Then pack your bags. The ‘Pubbies’ didn’t stand a chance.
Of course they will oppose the GOP for the next election. They always do.
But for the next couple of years there will be career advancement and prestige to be won by revealing scandals.
People respond to incentives, and even newspeople are people, hard though that may be to believe.
When they can help themselves without electing a Republican they’ll be quite happy to do so.
Quite true. In April 1861 the mobilized South Carolina militia probably outnumbered the US Army.
And they are absolutely correct, in the short and medium run.
In the long run, my old tagline is accurate: "Perception wins all the battles, reality wins all the wars."
Conservatives and fiscal realists have been crying wolf for decades now. But the wolf never quite shows up, the can gets kicked a little farther down the road, and the public perception gets dulled a little more. (To thoroughly scramble metaphors.)
But the important part of the "boy who cried wolf" story that usually gets forgotten is that the wolf did eventually show up, and when he did he killed all the village's animals.
In the long run, it was the villagers who suffered most. Well, actually it was their animals, but you get my point, I assume.
IMO the wolf is presently showing up in Europe, and the US is no more than a few years behind them. Possibly less than that, as I am not knowledgeable about macrofinance matters.
Unsustainable systems will not, in the long run, be sustained. Which is back to "reality wins all the wars."
