Maybe he is mad at the adultress and wanted to expose her...? Maybe he has some info that she turned him in ( a la Monica L and Linda Tripp),,,He had to know once he said “affair” people would be sniffing out “who” it was. ...I think he is paying her back for setting him up.

I do have to get the General credit for not forcing his wife to come out and stand by his side while he admits to this,,,like so many other politicians do.
