North Carolina and Guilford County took a sharp right turn while the nation continued on a leftward course on Tuesday, Nov. 6, with the reelection of President Barack Hussein Obama.

North Carolina went the other way. The state elected Republican Pat McCrory governor, Republican Dan Forest as lieutenant governor, solid Republican majorities in both the North Carolina state House and state Senate, and preserved the Republican majority on the nominally nonpartisan state Supreme Court. So Republicans will control all three branches of state government.

The US didn’t go left.
Indiana elected a Tea Party backed governor and Republican supermajorities for the House and Senate.
I’ll be extra impressed if they can rid us of David Price.
Thad McCotter’s seat in Michigan went to a tea party backed candidate in a moderate district. We also held our district gains from 2010 including 2 tea party backed republicans.
We also crushed 2 union backed constitutional amendments and a green energy mandate amendment.

Reality is exactly what I’m talking about but I’m sure the democrats and their moderate toadies are pleased as punch that you’re buying their propaganda.
I believe Arkansas also took their first GOP majority in decades. We held ours in Michigan.

I do take perverse pleasure in the fact that Stabenow got some 117,000 more votes than Obama.
Did they do left, as the MSM wants us to believe, or did they go into panic mode? Seems very few want to tackle our financial problems head on in a fiscally austere manner. Fine, let the tax rate cuts expire at the end of 2012, and implement sequestration.
That’ll never happen. The Execrable David Price, along with NC’s Rat Congressslugs Butterfield and Watt, are in districts with such massive Democrat majorities (primarily through race) that there’s no way they could lose. They even split Durham County three ways instead of leaving it completely in Price’s 4th District with the 2010 redistricting; the part of Durham I lived in until this summer ended up in Butterfield’s 1st District. Basically, Butterfield’s and Watt’s district are racially gerrymandered, and Price’s is blue due to a combination of race and having UNC-Chapel Hell smack in the middle of it. (The Duke campuses may be in the 4th still, or gone to the 1st, I don’t know.)

Republicans won about 56% of the Congressional seats. We lost a couple of Senate seats because we had bad candidates. It is difficult for Republicans to win National Elections because Obama can turn out almost 100% plus in urban environments with almost no votes for the Republican. It is much easier to corral urban sheep than rural mustangs.
I thought that was clever but on second thought maybe not.

I just think it was one really weird election.
They give the unions credit for electing Obama but they must have voted against their own ballot proposals at the same time.
Obama got 6 points less support from blacks in 2012 than in 2008 and he got about the same % of support from women as Romney got from men ... so the female gap for Romney was offset by the male gap for Obama and Blacks gave less support to Obama than in 2008.
Blacks and women are not the reason why Romney lost.
Shockingly, Jews decreased their support for Obama from 80% in 2008 to 60% in 2012 while Hispanics and Asians were the only groups to increase their support for Obama from 2008. Hispanic support increased by 3 points. The decreased support from Blacks and Jews easily offset the increased support of Asians and Hispanics.
North Carolina was the only state that ended up red and it had a Democrat governor. All the of the swing states that had Republican governors voted for Obama! There is less than a 3% probability that all of them voted for Obama as a coincidence. (50% x 50% x 50% x 50% x 50% x 50% x 50%). The probability that all the swing states with Republican governors would vote for Obama is the same as flipping a coin 7 times and always coming up tails. Try it and see how often you get 7 in a row. 7 in a row happens less than 3% of the time unless the coin is corrupted. There is a 97% chance that something happened in those states that have Republican governors to affect the vote for Romney. They were corrupted.
Add the fact that Patraeus resigned because of a sexual affair. Was he blackmailed into not speaking up about Benghazi during the election cycle? After stating that the White House knew everything about the attack as it happened and that it refused support to the embassy, Patraeus suddenly went silent.
5 things caused the loss for Romney: 1. Romney’s comment about 47%. 2. Chris Christie and the media’s fawning over Obama during the east coast storm. 3. Republican governors in the swing states. 4. The lack of honest media coverage about Benghazi. 5. Asians and Hispanics.
If any one of those 5 items had been different, then Romney would have won.
Now let’s ask these questions:
1. Why did Christie and the media fawn over Obama?
2. Why did Hispanics and Asians vote against Romney?
3. Why did the media refuse to cover Benghazi honestly and completely?
4. Why did the Republican governors dessert Romney?
