We continue building pro-America, patriotic conservative grassroots tea party enthusiasm and we retake our government at the state and local levels. Use the tenth amendment to block the feds. Lean on our Republican majority in the congress to not authorize excessive spending or new taxes or new debt. Do not let them raise the debt limit again!! Lean on our governors and state legislatures to resist the feds at every turn.

Build on our majority in 2014!! Retake the senate in 2014 and kick the traitor Harry Reid to the curb!! Be better prepared in 2016!! We must run a Reagan conservative. We the grassroots conservatives should run our own online tea party primary before the Republican primary so we can vet and narrow down the list of acceptable conservative candidates to no more than three, preferably just one or two. Don't let them split our vote in the Republican primary and allow a RINO to waltz in!!

Remember Ronald Reagan!! It can and must happen again!!

Roll on tea party, roll on!!

And please keep those donations coming in, folks. We're going to need FR, now more than ever!!

Click the link above to donate via secure server or by mail to:

Free Republic - PO Box 9771 - Fresno, CA 94794

Make it a monthly if you can. A generous FR new monthly donor sponsor will kick in an extra ten dollars on your behalf!!

And the Spartan 300 Challenge is still ongoing. I_be_tc sent in $100 and challenged 300 FReepers to follow suit. Over 100 FReepers have met the challenge so far (108)!! Go Spartans!!

Thank you all very much!

God bless!!

Prayers up for our free country.

Don't give up the ship!!

"Utah is a state in the Western United States. It became the 45th state admitted to the Union on January 4, 1896. Utah is the 13th-most extensive, the 34th-most populous, and the 10th-least-densely populated of the 50 United States. Approximately 80% of Utah's 2,817,222 people live along the Wasatch Front, centering on Salt Lake City, leaving vast expanses of the state nearly uninhabited and making the population the sixth most urbanized in the U.S. The name "Utah" is derived from the name of the Ute tribe and means "people of the mountains" in the Ute language. Utah is bordered by Arizona on the south, Colorado on the east, Wyoming on the northeast, Idaho on the north and Nevada on the west. It also touches a corner of New Mexico.
Utah is the most religiously homogeneous state in the Union. It is home to the Salt Lake Temple, and approximately 60% of Utahns are reported to be members of LDS Church which greatly influences Utah culture and daily life.
The state is a center of transportation, information technology and research, government services, mining, and a major tourist destination for outdoor recreation. According to the U.S. Census Bureau's population estimates, Utah was the fastest-growing state in the United States as of 2008. St. George, Utah, was the fastest–growing metropolitan area in the United States from 2000 to 2005."

"Yup. we’re on a mission from God. We’re putting the Republic together again."

Jim we will succeed if we do it God's way - with reference to His word. I just doubt that Christians today know what that means. Bear with me a moment or two... here's a windy repeat of a post I made almost two years ago (with a bit of editing to correct error...)

---

Sadly, this nation began going far astray just about exactly 100 years ago, abandoning the very principles that made it the strongest nation on earth. For it's first 150 years, this nation followed biblical injunction - and was indeed a Christian nation that prospered from it's faith and obedience.

Most people don't know - even Christians - that there are five Biblical Qualifications for public office, four of them personal traits, contained in one verse - Exodus 18:21. The FIRST qualification, also the most important, was that these men had to be chosen to serve (because they met the four qualifications in that verse) by spiritual leadership of the community. And so, for the first 150 years of this nation, ALL FIVE of those qualifications were ALWAYS at the top of any discussion regarding the choosing of, and the election of, political leadership. Compare that to the jabberwocky we expect and tolerate today...

If any candidate was lacking in any of those qualifications, the greater majority of people usually would simply NOT vote for them, either because they didn't have the personal qualifications, or because they were not chosen by spiritual leadership (i.e., ministers, deacons, or other well known leadership within the predominant Christian community.) THAT rule, tenet, or teaching was held so important that ALL chosen candidates were FORBIDDEN to 'get on the stump' and speak for themselves. If they did, in most cases, they did NOT win election. The public looked to spiritual leadership to do what we expect candidates to do today - the exact opposite of what guided this nation for the majority of its history.

One of our Founding Fathers, Samuel Langdon, was foremost in teaching these Biblical principles to this young nation - you may have read parts of his election-day sermons before. But if not, here is A LINK to one of his famous sermons - where you will find the following quote in context. It's a lengthy sermon, but well worth reading for comparison to the lame thinking of today... with zero reference to the real qualifications.

Preserve your government with the utmost attention and solicitude, for it is the remarkable gift of heaven. From year to year be careful in the choice of your representatives, and all the higher powers of government. Fix your eyes upon men of good understanding, and known honesty; men of knowledge, improved by experience; men who fear God, and hate covetousness; who love truth and righteousness, and sincerely wish the public welfare.

We haven't done that as a society, nor have those who claim Christianity taken this advise to heart, much less into the teachings of their churches.

---

Churches today are businesses that fail in their God given duties that our forefathers shouldered as they created a nation that God blessed. Today they are so afraid of losing their tax exemption, few dare ever speak of politics, even though the Bible itself lays out the political duties of Godly leadership.

Our mission should be building a spine in His Church - but are we up to it?

"Tennessee has played a critical role in the development of rock and roll and early blues music. Beale Street in Memphis is considered by many to be the birthplace of the blues, with musicians such as W.C. Handy performing in its clubs as early as 1909.
Memphis was also home to Sun Records, where musicians such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, and Charlie Rich began their recording careers, and where rock and roll took shape in the 1950s.
The 1927 Victor recording sessions in Bristol generally mark the beginning of the country music genre, and the rise of the Grand Ole Opry in the 1930s helped make Nashville the center of the country music recording industry. "

We all had dinner at the H3 Ranch restaurant, and Bryan and I stayed at the hotel there. We were sorry that we couldn’t explore the Stockyards, but there wasn’t enough time. The next day, we met up at NYTexan’s and joined the caravan to the Gulf Coast where the Pelican Bay Cottages are. We had Cottage #13, and it was mostly lucky.

I don’t think any conservatives are buying Petraeus’s reason, either.
