Why should the majority of the Country submit to being ruled by a few people primarily in the northeast?

You’d see the biggest brain drain leave Louisiana- all professors and researchers (primarily funded via some sort of federal grants) would leave - top students would then leave and study elsewhere not to return and eventually would businesses. Heck I live here in Covington LA.

Noticing the map and sections of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois that are connected and look almost solid blue, there's one thing they have in common: high populations of Norwegian-Americans. Oddly enough, a writer for the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel looking at the same map arrived at the same conclusion I did. He titled his colum lutefisk vs. brats, Norwegians vs. Germans. Parts of the state with high German populations tended to go Republican. Parts of the state with high Norwegian ancestry tended to vote Democrat. I have Norwegian in-laws, and they're very vocal about how much they dislike Republicans.
It's funny because for many years western Wisconsin's third district had a Republican congressman named Steve Gunderson (a very common Norwegian surname) who was eventually outed by a homo org. They still re-elected him after he was outed. But after Gunderson left congress, the district has now been solidly Democrat. Maybe there is something to all those Norwegian jokes. Or maybe the Republicans should try to run a Norwegian-American all the time.

What does this map represent? I think I know but would like you to verify.
Also, where did you find it?

Sorry to see San Diego County having reached the tipping point to Dems.
Was that the last Republican dominated major metro area?
