The way we handle this will control the future. Do we force Obama to accept a hard core Conservative Vice President? Or, do we let him select a Democrat senator?
I've been thinking about this since Joe's second brain surgery ~ he's had brain surgery three times, unsuccessfully ~ and now it's time for somebody to do something.
I think we might take control of the Senate by replacing Joe with a Democrat Senator from a state where we are assured of a Republican replacement, and then let Obama pick another Democrat Senator similiarly situated to replace the equally decrepit Ruth Bader Ginsburg ~
That gives him what he wants ~ and at the same time gives us what we want.
Now that's compromise!

Interesting comment. It does appear that the man is losing it. I’m wondering if he won’t be replaced sometime in the next 4 years with whomever the Dems want to run in 2016. Running from the VP slot gives him instant “street cred.”
Not sure about them picking a Dem senator that would dilute their numbers in the Senate, but it is possible.
I do like your thoughts on “compromise” though :-)
