Halloween mask sales said Romney would win.
Washington Redskins rule said Romney would win.
Reports of “blacks deserting en masse.”
Massive crowds vs. Dwindling drowds at rallies.
Poll Numbers pointing to high turnout with Republicans likely to vote.
Swing States reporting good numbers for Romney.
This was all turned on its head.
What did not change, however, was massive early voting and reports of shenanigans at select polling locations. Would not be surprised if Zero is shell-shocked, too, secretly wishing he could jump off the stage. Too late, pal. You’re holding the bag, and the whole world is watching. Have fun.
Did my vote count? I’m not sure anymore.
He had real solutions and I agree with one poster here who said he underestimated how stupid people are today. Maybe he played things a little close to his vest but I feel that once elected he would have made a great president. I didn’t always feel that way but he won me over. I hope he stays a relevant voice like Sarah Palin has. He has at least earned a bully pulpit of sorts to point out Obamas failures.
None of the numbers add up. Republican party ID versus Dim ID had swung towards the pubbies by 12 points since 2008 according to Ras. Republican party ID was at the highest in Oct it has ever been according to Ras. People don’t switch ID to sit at home, it means they’re actively involved. Huge turnount at the RR rallies as well as a huge disparity in overall support as witnessed by yard signs, stickers etc.
Romeny isn’t a true conservative by any stretch but he understands numbers about as well as anyone. He stated the night before the election that “it’s over”. He had gone over these numbers relentlessly and he knew exactly where he stood. Republicans had made up tremendous ground as opposed to 2008 in the early and absentee voting and yet couldn’t even match McCains pathetic numbers????
This is a failed presidency. And yet with all of the data indicating a huge turn towards the pubbies just as in 2010 the empty chair still gets north of 300 ev’s.
Obama’s advice to his supporters to “stay calm” on election day when turnout appears to be going against them seems especially prescient. Numerous precints reporting over 99% support for one candidate reeks of fraud.
Romney had every right to be stunned.
Ok, now I will read the article.
You don't win on fear; fear of being called a racist, fear of being called a wealthy hoarder, fear of being called insensitive for having fiscal sense by calling for spending cuts.
‘Who dares wins’ should be the strategy. For years Dems played the meme that Bush broke the economy, never mind the fact that Obama sued a bank for “red lining’ (community activist) and voted for huge spending binges while being a State/Federal Senator. All this should of been blasted on the airwaves along with the price of gasoline coupled with crippling regulations by Obama’s Executive Branch, devaluing of the dollar by spending binges, not passing a budget in years, and a lower credit rating because hope and change failed, not some festering crash whose beginnings happen years before Bush was sworn in.
You need to destroy your opponent and then specifically announce a contrasting platform that will bring growth back. Romney's advisers had no problem with the first part of that equation during the primary, but during the general...put the silk gloves on while expecting a large turn out. Obama ran rings around the GOP stooges, simple as that because they kept daring and won.
Ok, there it is. The reason why there was a perceived lack of advertising? Because they spent their money on where it counted, to woo their and potential Romney voters. In areas where they did not have a chance, why waste resources there?
I was impressed on what I read. And you know that they did not give out the “secret sauce” on the specifics.
I wonder if Team Romney just outsourced everything to the old school machine. Hello, Rove, I am talking to you here...
Romney couldn’t beat Obama?
Romney didn’t beat McCain.
Disgraceful. A billion dollar campaign? What did Republicans get for their money?
McCain, 2008 popular vote: 58,319,442
Romney, 2012 popular vote: 58,163,978
That is the biggest fact of this election and no one is talking about it.
“I don’t think there was one person who saw this coming.”
Obviously!!
These RINO’s are totally out of touch !!
What a bunch of Idiots.
I’m now an Indie....SCREW the Du-oppoly
They ignored voter fraud AGAIN. Rove sees it now after surrendering to it for years. He denouced GOP candidates who fought against cheating and who did not play the good little surrender monkey.
What happened to the military vote? Why was my son able to vote on the internet from Belguim?
They are trying to pressure West to surrender to voter fraud in Florida and be a “good sport.”
