Hispanics are reproducing far faster than whites and taking over the swing states.

Yes they have a higher birthrate, but they are not taking over the swing states. And exactly how do you count an Hispanic? Is there a one drop rule? 54% of Hispanics self-describe themselves as white.

In 2008 there was little evidence that immigration policy was an influential factor in Hispanics’/Latinos’ choice between the two candidates once basic party predispositions are taken into account. The size of the Latino voting population should be kept in perspective alongside other subsets of the electorate. An estimated 11.8 million voters were of Latino ancestry, compared with 17 million African Americans, 19.7 million veterans, 23.6 million young people, 45 million conservatives, and 34 million born-again white Christians.

The truth is that immigrants vote two to one for Dems. And that includes Asians and other minorities. We have 40 million foreign born in this country. One in 8 resdients of this country is foreign born, the highest it has been in 90 years. 87% of the 1.2 million legal immigrants who enter annually are minorities as defined by the USG. We are importing Dem voters by the millions. In the decade ending 2010, we had the largest number of immigrants in history--13.9 million. Immigration drives 80% of our population growth.

The 1965 Immigration Act changed the demographics of this country forever. But there is no reason that we should accept the current 1.2 million legal immigrants a year as a given. We can control the number of legal immigrants and should try to reduce the number. We can link it to jobs. Right now there is no correlation between our immigration numbers and job requirements.

The Rep leadership is controlled by the Chamber of Commerce, which supports amnesty and increased guest worker programs. It depresses American wages. Immigration is killing this country economically and electorally. We need a merit based system like they have in Canada and Australia.

The immigration issue is a very big issue in Europe. It has prompted Cameron, Sarkozy (when he was President), and Merkel to proclaim that multiculturalism is dead. Foreign workers are not units of labor. They bring their own culture and costs. Assimilation is becoming less and less possible due to the sheer numbers. By 2050 one in five residents of this country will be foreign born.
