Sadly true. Once democrats completely control an area, the area gets worse and worse. What happens then? People vote for even more LIBERAL democrats to solve the problems THEY created. See Detroit, Baltimore, California, Maryland, etc.

It reaches critical mass, and democrats get bigger as they snowball downhill.

Correct analogy. We can continue to roll down hill economically till we live in the squalor that characterizes the life of most people in India, the Philippines, China, Zimbabwe, or in any other populous and poor nation. You might expect the US will follow the path of most of these countries in which income goes off-the-books and government corruption becomes standard operating procedure. For example, in Greece most people don’t actually pay their taxes and a large portion of the population works for the govt plus is a member of a socialist union. In the third world, a govt job is considered a license to extort the local population. And in each of these countries, the voting population cries out for the government to solve every problem and to “help the people” while being essentially powerless to help themselves. Consider the Philippines, where the voting population is especially fond of electing actors because of some strong and brave role the actor plays. This eventually leads to an incompetent and corrupt person holding elected office and the voting public getting the shaft. In a typical country in North Africa, the president appears on TV to give a speech by emerging from a cloud of smoke, much like the Wizard of OZ.

I am trying to be honest when stating that I think half of American voters have chosen to embrace a modern third world political philosophy. The 21st century Democrat party philosophy—which is a confusing neo-Bolshevik, illogical, sex-centered, welfare happy, reduced freedome, anti-business, hate-thy-neighbor, quasi-religion. It will diminish prosperity in the US, but they will follow it straight into the gutter and bite anybody who doesn’t like it. The dems, like the Greeks, will not wake up and reject their philosophy. When the funds run dry, they will just double down and make things even worse.

Greece may be sitting on a huge oil and gas field in the Mediterranean worth trillions of dollars. Australian and Canadian mining companies are making deals to tap into the gold fields in Greece now. If natural resource estimates are correct, Greece will be the wealthiest country in Europe. I guess we’ll see.

Study: Greece sitting on natural gas reserves worth $600 billion
