"As a party, we have to look forward to what our challenges are in the future," Christie said. "This election is over. So we have to look forward to the next challenges."
As the party figures out how to attract Hispanics, women and young people, Republicans may look toward Christie as a frontrunner for the 2016 nomination. He leads a blue and diverse state, walks the walk on bipartisanship and could steer the party away from the far right.

A good way to depress Conservative voter turnout even more.
2016 Christie = I’m out.
Well, I won’t be voting for him.
Yeah, another DemoncRAT win.
What gets me, is that he could have had Obama looking like a fool. For one thing, Obama did nothing, and the people in NJ were suffering. At the very least he could have refused to be seen with him....or any other options in between. Instead he schmoozed the guy.
Hey, Ann Coulter...you really know how to pick them. Can’t wait to read your article tomorrow, where I’m sure you’ll not put one ounce of blame on fat man.
You just watch though. Next Cycle FNC talking heads will tell us that CHRISTIE is the only one that can beat.........whoever.
It’s over, Christie. You’re done. Finished. Caput.
Maybe you and Bloomberg can be Facebook friends or something. How about that?
Christie is a scum bag..watch for him to pull a Spector and say how the “GOP left him” he can go to the Dem party for all I care
I hope Tubby Turncoat runs for the Democratic nomination!
The fat man showed that he is overwhelmed by critical siuations. He, the keynoter, said basically that he did not give a hoot about the election while he was on his knees kissing Bam’s butt. When he got to speak to Bruce Springsteen, who was in flight with Bam, Christie was so emotional he went home and cried. We need him like a hole in the head and hopefully he doesn’t get reelected.
Not all Republicans are conservatives. That's how Romney became the nominee. But most Republicans, even non-conservatives, understand the need to not undermine your guy in the midst of an election. Christie will be lucky to win re-election in 2013 - he won by less than 4% in 2009. Imagine if Republicans stay home to protest his destruction of Romney's campaign. There's no way he wins the nomination in 2016. I can't imagine that the Super PAC donors who shelled out hundreds of millions on Romney only to be torpedoed by Christie as going to look kindly on a Christie run.
I totally expect this. Mark your post because when it happens you can pull this out and say, “See, I told you.”
I voted for Romney. But if they think that Conservatives sat home for this election, wait and see how many sit home in 2016. I’ll be one of them.
I actually think that “16” is Route 16 to political oblivion.
As they say, “The road to hell is paved with good intentions” and Christie laid down an 8 laner with his political photoOp with the God-King, Comrade Obama.
As Ray Charles would say, “Hit the road, Chris, and don’t come back no more, no more”. Ray had a lot of insight for a blind man.
Come ON people! This is what we all said about Romney 4 years ago! Don't you get it? Don't you see what Christie's group grope with Obama presiding over the Sandy "recovery" efforts was about? The cabal on the left did this as a trial run in case they can't get someone further to the left of obama in 2016. Christie is the left's backup plan and the media will be fawning over him right up until the 2016 primaries and he is the nominee.
Chris Chrisie? Never heard of him. He’s dead to me.
Sometimes, I pray to God that he take the life if my enemies. Chris Christie embodies everything wrong with the Republican establishment. Let’s tear it all down.
Even know where my Congresscritter has some property interests in trees ~ he might as well forget it.
LOL. good one!
Who exactly would we have put up there? I mean, republicans didn’t come out to vote....
“He needs to control his mouth (in more ways than one) and lose about 200 pounds. That fat slob cannot control himself.”
Very dangerous habit under Obamacare.
