I don’t know if either one of them were that bad, all I know is that the 2 conservatives blew it by saying those ridiculous comments at a time when the Church was wasting our time with Sandra Fluke and contraceptives. All that coupled together made us look like anti-women while the focus should have been jobs and the debt. Gave the media and late nite tv fodder for weeks and weeks. So don’t blame the Mitts of the world for losing those seats. It’s all Akin and Mourdock.

I'm sorry but saying what Mourdock said and then saying that even in that case, abortion should be illegal with the penalty being criminal action is bound to turn off a chunk of potential voters.
