Mark Levin passionately defends conservatism and analyzes last night's election in the opening monologue of the Wednesday broadcast of his nationally syndicated radio program. Here's a partial transcript of Levin's opening remarks:
MARK LEVIN: We conservatives, we do not accept bipartisanship in the pursuit of tyranny. Period. We will not negotiate the terms of our economic and political servitude. Period. We will not abandon our child to a dark and bleak future. We will not accept a fate that is alien to the legacy we inherited from every single future generation in this country. We will not accept social engineering by politicians and bureaucrats who treat us like lab rats, rather than self-sufficient human beings. There are those in this country who choose tyranny over liberty. They do not speak for us, 57 million of us who voted against this yesterday, and they do not get to dictate to us under our Constitution.

When Hannity then asked if conservatives are the problem why did the moderate Romney, whom she heartily approved, lost I thought she was gonna stroke out.
This loss had nothing to do with Romney being a Rhino. 50% or more of the people in this country either hate us, want free stuff, have white guilt, are racist, or are just plain stupid. I really do not think that Reagan would even win right now. The left out number us and they, unfortunately, have this country in their grip. That grip is getting tighter every day.
Can you imagine that debate? For the first time in history a sitting President would melt on national TV.
Hannity is such a toadie for the GOPe. I have been DONE with him.....like AGES ago.
...also, sending a donation to FR. It ran great last night. Thank you Jim Robinson.
“And don’t forget that our children are indoctrinated by our cultural and educational institutions from the time they’re old enough to comprehend speech.”
That’s true. I’m one of the rare few who’ve slipped between the cracks. If I didn’t have such a defiant streak, I probably would have caved in to the liberalism of public school and college like most of my classmates.
Love him love him love him!!!!! <3
How could a guy who loves dogs express blind devotion to cops every show? I'll tell you how ... he's a hack. A hack like Hannity or Mike Gallagher doesn't know any better. Levin does. That's why it's offensive that he waits ‘til the day AFTER to rock the GOP boat.
I'll bet he actually voted for Ron Paul in the primaries.
She went off on Akin, Mourdock, Angle and conservative “purists” & how they needed to be purged from the party.
*****************************
I almost agree, in a backwards, mirror image kind of way. I think the Geriatric Old Plotters should be purged from conservatives before they do any more harm. They have undermined conservative strength and vitality now for more than twenty years.
I would include Ms. Don-Rickles-in-drag among the Geriatric Old Plotters.
Same. I have not listened to Hannity since early in the primaries.
It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds- Samuel Adams
When he asked non-rhetorically "should the republican party be for free birth control? I don't know!" that's questioning core values. There's no way around that.
And that's just one example from the thirty minutes I listened to today.
I listened to part of Rush and Hannity only because I was in the car.
I too get excited when I hear, “He’s here, he’s here!” TV is so constraining and all about gimmickry. An intellectual show like Mark’s probably wouldn’t work. Radio is a more powerful medium for him. Maybe a different time slot would bring him an even bigger audience, but I know quite a few people who like to listen to him in the evening.
Akin and Mourdock could have effected change had they curbed their tongues and actually been elected, but they had to blow their load so to speak, by being single issue purists.
There was no need for them to put their core values aside, they just needed to not scare people away by being extreme on what quite frankly should be states rights matters.
They should have just argued that it’s a states rights matter.
They would have at least moved the ball.
Now they, along with the rest of us are going to be paying for abortion and BC at a federal level.
How was that helpful to their core values?
"child" as in singular child, only one? If every two so-called conservatives average one child then there is no future.
“Now I hear we’re called ‘purists.’ Conservatives are called purists. The very people who keep nominating moderates, now call us purists the way the left calls us purists. Yeah, things like liberty, and property rights, individual sovereignty, and the Constitution, and capitalism. We’re purists now. And we have to hear this crap from conservatives, or pseudo-conservatives, Republicans.”
Goodness gracious!
Where have I seen behavior like THAT before?!?
They and their beliefs are not the problem.
I would be willing to bet that Mark did not vote for Ron Paul in the primaries.
I’m not sure I understand your statement about waiting to the rock the GOP boat. Are you faulting him for getting behind Romney?
Blind support for police officers — I wouldn’t mind talking to him about that subject and learning more because I’m not too high on the police right now. Bad experience with neighbor cop’s family and threats that he can do whatever he likes to me, an old man, because he is a cop. Not much help from our county force.
Sounds good. Unfortunately it doesn’t change who has the senate and the presidency....and who started work today on their computer models to take the house in two years. They may win, But we won’t stand for it.
