All of history is a repeat of themes that came before.

Societies and civilizations have tread this path long before we come to be. And they all faced similar problems.

Simply put, no civilization lasts once the decline sets it. The pain of rebuilding to to much for most, until there is nothing left to rebuild. Greece and Rome fell, for the same reasons we are in trouble now.

To many people living off to few. To many outsiders who don't share the civilization brought in to support it till the civilization no longer exists.

Read Cicero. Read Herodotus. Read history. Stop emoting, and saying how “special” we are. Look at see.

We need to start worrying about preserving the spark of western civilization.
