Delaware election results just dropped a nuclear bomb on political theories among Republican moderates and liberals.
In 2010, Christine ODonnell got 40% of Delawares heavily-skewed Democrat electorate for US Senate, despite nasty civil war within the Republican party nationwide and in Delaware.
No, this is not about her. This is about YOUR understanding of how elections work and what is going on politically in Delaware.
In 2012, even Republican Mitt Romney only equaled in Delaware Christine ODonnells vote both at 40%.
How do all the haters explain how Mitt Romney did no better in Delaware than Christine ODonnell did for US Senate? Both got 40% of the vote.
In 2012, Republican candidate for US Senate Kevin Wade = 29%
Republican candidate Tom Kovach candidate for US Congress = 33.4%
Republican candidate for Governor Jeff Cragg = 28.6%
Republican candidate for Lt. Governor Sher Valenzuela = 37.1%
Republican candidate for Insurance Commissioner Benjamin Mobley = 36.8%
Now, lets REVIEW.
WHY? TO LEARN. To PLAN for next time. To do better next time. To build a house on a firm foundation of sound strategy, not on clouds of self-delusion.
So if we put all the theories to the test
. Are all those theories wrong?
Why under the various theories did Christine ODonnell do BETTER than all of these Republican statewide candidates?
If one's theories dont work, do you re-examine our political theories, or do you dig in and believe in fairy tales?

If you think that Santorum or Gingrich would have done better up against Obamas war on women lies, you are an idiot.
The only IDIOTS are those conservatives/Republicans who thought it was a good idea to prop up a Pretend Republican like Mitt Romney who supports Abortion and the Gay Agenda.
Those type of people are purely stupid.

Forming the State Of Delmarva is the only solution for this sad blue State.

Look at the Senate races as well.
Theres a bunch we should have won, and we didnt.
Blame Romney.
He had no coattails and he depressed voter turnout with his support of Abortion and the Gay Agenda.
Add to that his lack of serious limited Government credentials and his horrific Progressive record as Governor and you have a sure-fired electoral disaster.

Basically conservatism is RIP now.
It had a chance if Romney won, but its RIP now.
NO, I wont blame Romney alone, I’m sure they’ll be plenty of 20/20 hindsight. I’m gonna blame morons like you who wasted time attacking the Republican candidates instead of helping defeat the socialists.
Your perfectionism is splitting, dividing, hurting and destroying what’s left of conservatism in this country.
Divided we fall.
Enjoy your 4 years of watching America get further lost than ever. You DID build that!

“An incumbent Congressman who has been in office for decades who gets only 61% of the vote against a Democrat”
IN a district that voted for Obama by a large margin, that’s impressive, since many Democrats vote straight ticket.
This was a seat that would be held by (a) a RINO or (b) a liberal Democrat. Not enough conservative voters to make it viable for a conservative Republican unfortunately.

No, we had no chance with conservatism with Romney.
And as far as your defeatism is concerned, the patriots of 1776 faced much higher odds than we do now.
Time to quit the cryin' and quit acting out the battered wife syndrome with the GOP Elite.
Time to stand up and say no more to crappy candidates like McCain and Romney!
No more Pretend Republicans!

Yes, Newt Gingrich would have done better, because he would not just stand there and let his opponent beat him up. You are looking at what actually happened. But a good campaigner would never have allowed the Democrats to get that far. Where a moderate like Romney does not know how to effectively fight the liberals, Gingrich would have taken each attack by Obama, stuffed it down Obama's mouth, and made him eat it.
A good campaigner would have so thoroughly discredited and embarassed the Democrats the SECOND they started to spin up their attack, that the attack would have died in its infancy.
You look at Obama's campaign atacks -- unopposed -- and imagine that it would have been the same with an effective campaigner.
