Galveston County has extended voting hours until 8:54 pm. Votes after 7:00 will be counted as provisional. County will have further details available at the polling location and on Galveston County website.
Any idea what caused this extension?

A judge no doubt
Certified as mentally retarted but still allowed to vote?!? Really?
I took my grade school daughter with me to vote years ago. When I got to the booth she loudly proclaimed, "Dad, you know you're supposed to vote for Bush don't you?" Everybody heard her.
I said, "Hey, I need a poll watcher over here. We've got campaigning in the voting room!" You should have heard the laughter and seen the shocked look on my baby's face.
Retarted? haha...that must be me!
ha ha. of course she had heard you say you were going to vote for bush and was helpfully reminding you. i’d have told her that our vote is private.
I thought the same thing so I came home and looked it up and it said that unless a judge has deemed that the individual cannot vote then they are allowed. Of course the poll worker would not have been able to question this today.
Randy has been my state Congressman for the past two terms. Great Christian Conservative. Really having an uphill battle for Paul’s Congressional seat. Pete Olson, our DC Congressman, supported Randy’s opposition - a RINO female - in the run-off. Just this last couple of weeks Pete decided to finally lend some assistance. If Lampson is re-elected, IMO the blame can be laid squarely at Olson’s shoulders. Believe Lampson’s major support is coming from East Texas and the Beaumont area. Remember the high school football band from Beaumont that had Big Bird knocking Romney off his feet???
fair enough
i wonder if even the slow are still bright enough to smell political b.s.
MHMRA is a huge network and has been around for at least 20 years that I know of. They provide mental health services for the developmentally disabled and special needs population of Texas. Among other things, they do the evaluations which determine who goes to Rusk State Hospital or receives services through the Harris County Psychiatric Center in Houston. Lots of work with the court system for 72 hour commitments and evaluations.
Most of the docs associated with them now that I’m aware of are Hispanic. Lots and lots of state money involved.
