Just got back from voting. Our small painfully liberal Massachusetts town votes in the high school gym.
There was a “Get rid of the R word” in 18” letters on a bed sheet on a wall facing incoming voters 50 feet from the polls.
Pissed me off. I went and voted and coming out I see the sign had been torn half down so it couldn’t be read.
Faith in humanity restored.
There certainly seems to be a lot of law breaking going on. Banana republic indeed!
I’ve just returned from voting in the hood. Just as bad as ‘08 when I gave up and went to the Court House, but this time I was determined to not get intimidated. Not one white to be seen and I heard one worker say to another “she’s the nineteenth”, so I reckon they’re keeping count. Open drinking in the parking lot, lots of talk while I made my way inside. No white workers inside either. I’m going to file a complaint about that. “Sample ballots” were handed to everyone, including me, on the way inside, all marked for democrats. I’m taking mine to the newspaper. Not a cop in sight. The place was packed. I was voter # 563 in alphabet book A - I. J-R had over 600 and don’t know about S-Z.
I vote in such a calm, well mannered area..One poll volunteer during early voting (as old as I am/ really old) was so cute, dressed up in a patriotic long dress, and passing out the I Have Voted stickers.
I took this picture about 10:30 today about 1/3 of the way in line. It more than doubled by the time I voted one hour later.
A small sample of the pro-zero propaganda that they teach our children.
Three GOP signs disappeared in that time. I went and replaced the signs and more had disappeared by then.
The pro-gay marriage jerks were there in force but, I never saw crowds this large here. More then 2008 and also 2011. I estimate an average of 300-400 most of the day.
God help us if this election goes the wrong way.
Your faith in America will be restored even more tomorrow! Big Smile and Hug from Canada!
