I am sitting here wondering what sort of intel might be useful...to perhaps identify specific groups in Syria?
Wouldn't they already know that?
As temporary as this non consul ant consultant was since it just seemed to be there as a resting place for Stevens and for meetings ...like he had with the Turkish guy.
The good stuff would have been in Tripoli.

The “annex” was a CIA outpost. I suspect any good stuff would have been there. Names of operatives, what they were doing. Names of Libyans cooperating with them and what they were doing. Names of all their contacts. Info on how far they had penetrated jihadi groups. Perhaps means and methods and/or installations throughout the ME.

- Written proof of the United States' intention to destabilize a Russian and Iranian client state.
- Codes
- The identities of agents working in Syria (so that they can kill or capture them)
- Learning what is the long term US/CIA plan vis a vis Israel, Iran, Saudi Arabia, etc.
I think that alone would be enough.

Not necessarily.
