KEANSBURG, N.J. New Jersey's famously tough-talking governor finally got a hug from his longest-running unrequited love.
The famously liberal Springsteen had never previously acknowledged the Republican governor.
Christie says he wept at home after talking by phone to his idol, calling it a major highlight during a tough week.

I thought something seemed odd when Christie, who campaigned strongly for Romney in the primaries, seemed invisible in the general election. Maybe it was the VP thing.

Has Ann Coulter said anything about Christie’s behaviour? I haven’t seen her. The one she loves so much could very well have undermined the candidate she endorsed.

You are not alone. Only fools would think he was sincere about anything.
If anyone believes that he is for real, they are idiots.

This guy is not, nor has ever been Presidential material. He will never ever be President, and if he is allowed anywhere near the nomination, it will be an electoral landslide in the wrong direction.>>>>>>>>>>>>No, you just don't get it. The GOP will nominate him in '16 and despite everyone here on FR saying he is the worst RINO ever they will all fall in step and support him because "Hillary will be the worst thing ever for our country" and "at least he's more conservative than Hillary", etc. etc. etc. I think I have heard that one before in another election - oh yeah, THIS ONE.

Christie Creame needs to go give Bloomers a reach around and they can plan a gun buy-back or fine tune their gas rationing.

Cant decide if he is Tweedledee or Tweedledum?
Either way I never liked the fat slob.
Always reminded me of the dip-shit kid in grade school that gave out the pencils and ratted out the other kids.

Whatever happened to George Thorogood? George is a Delaware guy.... Christie is finished outside of New Jersey after this week's shenanigans. And maybe in New Jersey too.

This reminds me of taking kids to Disney World; for $ 25, when you check in at one of the hotels, your child gets a personalized welcome call from one of the Disney characters. Looks like Governor Christie was bought more cheaply, by a call from a faded rock star who can’t fill an arena for Obama.

I really think hes lost it the stress of Sandy has rendered him an emotional mess. What person in their right mind would tell everyone that they cried over Bruce Springsteen? You nailed it, been thinking the same thing. His appearance with Obama and now this, all leads one to think he was overwhelmed by the destruction of Sandy and went on tilt.
dont know what to think about that except that maybe the suffering in the state is a lot worse than is obvious from afar and he is feeling it. Maybe give him a pass on it.
To: chessplayer
And to think some people actually thought Christie was presidential material. His lackluster convention speech should have been the first clue to an audience who didn’t know him. His abysmal performance with Obama last week should be the clincher.
