I cut a persimmon open the other day at the farm and found a spoon. The old Cherokees back home at Copic Slab tell me that means we will be shoveling snow this winter.
‘Course they also tell me that if the frog croaks through the ice we are in for six more weeks of winter. I still have not figured out how those dang frogs muster up enough energy to croak through the ice!
Persimmons have a spoon, a fork or a knife in them. A knife means ice storms. We still haven’t figured out what the fork thing means. Maybe to eat the persimmon? We are making up all this lore as we go. Taking suggestions.
Fascinating post.
Live thread and all, I thought it would be discourteous to not respond to a 3 paragraph ping that was interesting.
Also, I apologize. My cat chewed my mouse on the laptop.
I have no downward capability from my mouse now.
I must get new mouse from BX tomorrow.
