If Romney loses, he'll be a victim of Bush's unpopularity, just like Landon in 36 was defeated because of the public's continued resentment of Herbert Hoover.

It's going to take a number of years for the GOP to get out from under the unpopularity of George Bush and his failed presidency.

Hope you won't mind my quoting a portion of one of your posts from back in October :

I (like several others here) am wondering what the OP hoped to accomplish by posting this?

Oh?

Being a RINO and a MORMON will have no effect?

Poor George; now even FRepublicans are still blaming him!

“Memories of the junior Bush economic hangover haunt not only President Barack Obama, still struggling to recover from it, but also the Republican who wants Mr. Bush’s old job.”

This is pure bull$hit. The economy was strong on Jan 3, 2009 when the Democrats took over both houses of Congress. They proceeded to implement measures that began the destruction of the economy, and Senator Obama was supportive of all the measures that lead to the downturn. Obama helped create the economy that he ‘inherited’.

Bush of course failed to bullypulpit against these measures, failed to use the veto...but the fault of the economic downturn falls heavy on the Dims, and will only get worse if Obama were to ‘get another four years’.

Romney won’t be the loser today, and tonight we party with him.

The 2012 elephant in the room: George W. Bush

The 2012 donkey ass in the room is Barack Hussein Obama.

I talked to a couple of Obama voters this morning who said something to that effect. Of course they really had no clue beyond a reflexive hatred of him.

Overall, Bush Derangement Syndrome probably won't have much effect because it mainly strikes hardcore democrats.
