Obama “Now with respect to Libya, as I indicated in the last debate, when we received that phone call, I immediately made sure that, number one, that we did everything we could to secure those Americans who were still in harm’s way;”
Call that a lack of resolve “to secure those Americans” and no follow through; They sat in the situation room, well, Obama after his 5pm meeting with Biden and Panetta, for hours and there's no way they did everything, and it was the State Department that supplied the back-up Troops from Tripoli according to what we learned from Bing West on Greta.

SENIOR STATE DEPARTMENT OFFICIAL:“...I neglected to mention from the top that that agent from the top of this incident, or the very beginning of this incident, has been on the phone. He had called the quick reaction security team, he had called the Libyan authorities, he had called the Embassy in Tripoli, and he had called Washington.”
And Sunday night, 54 days after the attack and almost two weeks after putting out the first additional clip that appeared to back up the president after the second debate, CBS without fanfare posted the rest of the Benghazi question online — the question before the question.
Remember this is from a president who has been saying he was calling Benghazi a terrorist attack from the very first moment in the Rose Garden. Also, remember what he said in the debate and notice the new part — underlined in bold.

KROFT: Mr. President, this morning you went out of your way to avoid the use of the word terrorism in connection with the Libya Attack, do you believe that this was a terrorism attack?
OBAMA: Well it’s too early to tell exactly how this came about, what group was involved, but obviously it was an attack on Americans. And we are going to be working with the Libyan government to make sure that we bring these folks to justice, one way or the other.
There has got to be much more to this story. There was a decison to hide what really happened....WHY?

Denial of requests for security were a dereliction of duty. The lies and misdirection about the "video" after the attack were fraud and malfeasance under the color of authority. The inaction during the attack was something more than that.
The failure to act during the attack is the direct equivalent of desertion IMO.
ONE man had the authority to act that night.
ONE man deserted his post!

OK, sounds tinfoil, but these people sure do like revisionism and hollywood magic.
Could also be the admin juveniles thought that pretending to think the attacks were spontaneous would make the perps relax and not take much care, and get caught easier.
Of course, this is an admin made up of defense attorneys for terrorists so I'm not sure we can find supporting evidence for an altruistic motive for lying.
The most likely motive is that Obama really does think his voters are stupid enough to accept the Obama beat al Qaeda myth, and the press is desperate enough to help him that they have been going along up until the myth failed after the movie-palooza, so now they are trying to push a tall tale- pretending Obama didn't build that movie myth.
