I totally agree, who deliberately flies to a devastated city? What idiots. What about using your common sense and saying “I don’t think the city needs the extra hassle, and I sure don’t. I think I’ll stay home.”
On Friday, my niece flew from Atlanta to NYC for the race. She had trained all year and got her registration by lottery. When she got on the plane, the race was on. When she got off the plane, she found out that Hizzonor had cancelled it. So she swapped her return ticket to Atlanta for a ticket to Savannah, where she ran in that city’s marathon on Saturday. Bloomberg should be drawn and quartered.
