Four years ago the media and Secret Service jumped ugly on any perceived threat to candidate Obama. Now with Romney? Crickets...

No.

Not from what I’ve heard. Just the opposite.

That is all the logic one gets from these liberal scum buckets...hate, violence, and intimidation. Of course, they support a totalitarion state so I guess their logic goes hand in hand with their methods.

This past week, Weed, er Reid, said he would not work with Romney if he were elected. I guess any sort of compromise with these people is off the table. Well, when one does not see the need to compromise, I say ignore them, march over them, and let them rant all they want.

In the case of Weed, er Reid, the adage keep your friends close and your enemies closer should have a phrase added, if you have a knife.

I wouldn;t get too worried... Mitt and Paul will be safe... those guys take that job seriously ... I know a Secret Service Agent... they are very dedicated.... as for Moore, MoveOn, etc, rioting.... LET THEM.... it will expose them for what they really are... might sound harsh, but that’s how we evolve.

If someone is threatening riots then it isnt really a threat against Romney so much as they are going to burn their own cities down.

Actually the secret service may have their hands tied. Back a couple years ago, they charged some guy out in California with making threats against Obama. The 9th circuit court threw out the conviction on free speech grounds saying a simple verbal or written threat wasn't enough, it had to be backed up with proof that they intended to carry out the threat. So short of paying the guy a visit and asking nicely if he really means his threat, there is not much else they can do.

Voter suppression? These people are unbelievable. I can’t even imagine what they’re talking about? Is this about Voter ID laws? Here is what REAL voter suppression looks like:

If Romney wins, he should dismiss /fire / relocate the entire WH Secret Service and replace all of them with new personnel. They appear to be totally out of control and irresponsible.

IMHO the Secret Service folks are hoping for a man whose life is worth defending with their own - they have been debased these last 4 years protecting a commie buffoon.

Interesting that the Secret Service prefers Obama to Romney.

Well, when you read the post that are talking about killing Romeny, threats of riots etc you kind of half to laugh them off.

We’re talking 3rd grade education levels i.e. “Obama Phone Lady” type idiots.

I doubt 90% of them could pick Romney out of line-up. The other 10% are probably OWS leftovers hiding in their parents basement.

How about a little trip in the "way back" machine? Remember this little incident? One pertinent factoid missing from the piece below (Chicago Trib) is that it was on Bill Clinton's instructions that these people were arrested and detained.

Glenn and Patricia Mendoza

More than a decade after she was arrested for yelling at President Bill Clinton at Taste of Chicago, Patricia Mendoza is still adamant that she was simply exercising her First Amendment right.

"I thought that I lived in a country where I could speak my peace," said Mendoza, 47. "I thought I had freedom of speech. Obviously, we don't."

Mendoza and her husband, Glenn, saw Clinton on July 2, 1996, when he made an impromptu appearance at the summer festival. Referring to a terrorist bombing a week earlier at a U.S. Air Force housing complex in Saudi Arabia that killed 19 Americans, Mendoza shouted at the president, "You suck, and those boys died!"

U.S. Secret Service agents took Mendoza's blurt as a threat against the president and directed Chicago police to arrest the couple. The county dropped the disorderly conduct complaint against them in October of that year.

The Mendozas live in Naperville, where they run a cabinet company and invest in real estate. They say they've never again done anything like the incident, as Glenn Mendoza calls it, and do not consider themselves to be political activists.

Glenn Mendoza said that what they went through was ultimately positive because it highlighted how he believes personal freedoms are in jeopardy.

"People now still cannot believe that that happened to us, just because of what we said. Freedom of speech is pretty limited, no doubt about it," he said. "I think people are starting to see that they're being treated like sheep and the government is taking our rights away. If we wake up soon enough maybe we can turn this freight train around."
