... the “safe room” HVAC protection failed ...

I read something on this the other day, wish I could remember the source. There was NO "HVAC" in the safe room - no fire supression, source of air, etc. in the event of a fire. The comments were that the 'safe' room had never been properly set up - yes, they had bars, some supplies, but no way to get through something like a fire. Another example of total negligence and incompetence when it came to security and safety.

On the third side of the double-cross/HVAC failed coin, I would encourage anyone pursuing the truth about Benghazi to also take into account the nature of north African jihadi groups.

By reputation they are the most violent and uncontrollable.

To wit: in the 1990s the most prominent of these groups was the Algeria-based GIA group that staged kidnappings and attacked and murdered tourists, embassies, whatever.

This group eventually applied for franchise status with bin Laden who at that time was signing up terror groups all over the world for al Qaeda’s growing multinational enterprise.

But bin Laden rejected the GIA group BECAUSE he considered them too violent and too uncontrollable.

That’s right. The north Africans have a history of being “too violent for al Qaeda.”

[That last sentence above evokes one of my favorite Hal Holbrook lines: “You made people feel sorry for Haldeman. I didn’t think that was possible.”]

In any case, it might be that Obama’s blunder was that he simply did not heed Osama’s lesson from the past and put his trust in a special breed of sociopath that can’t stop itself from killing even when the mission is otherwise.
