You're so right. It reminded me so much of Chief Moose and the DC sniper incident. They immediately announced that it was not terrorist related and the suspect was an angry white man in a panel van.

As I recall, an additional half dozen citizens were killed in order to provide cover to political correctness before the actual perps were finally caught on a tip from an alert citizen.

Most of his PHYSICAL APPREHENSION was by a citizen. And the younger guy almost escaped from jail months after his arrest..!
