Sorry about not posting much today, and no "good morning" post either,
but except for this morning, the day kind of took a left turn.
The Movie Reviews!
"Electric Shadows" with Xia Yu, Jiang Yihong, Jiang Shan, Niu Zhenhua, Qi Zhongyang, Li Haibin, Zhang Yijing, Wang Zhengjia, Xia Yuqing, Zhenhua, Zhang Haoqi, Guan Xiaotong
Not Rated, 2005, Chinese with subtitles
When riding a bicycle, "Mao Dabing" falls and bangs his head. He promises the girl he hit that he will feed her pet fish. While in her apartment, he finds her journal and discovers a secret that unlocks a flood of memories from his childhood about watching movies. It was very good, and we gave it ★★★★
"TiMER" with Emma Caulfield, John Patrick Amedori, Michelle Borth, Desmond Harrington, JoBeth Williams, Kali Rocha, Muse Watson, Mark Harelik, Eric Jungmann, Tom Irwin
Rated R for language, 2009
This is a fantasy about people being fitted with biotech TiMERs that tell them when they're going to meet their soulmates. Our Heroine worries because her TiMER has never activated, and she fears that she will never meet her one true love. It was kind of tragicomic (for having been billed as a comedy), but it was an original and interesting story, so we gave it ★★★★
