If Larry Johnson is involved things are also going to get cluttered up with a little fact mixed with tons of progressive liberal stinkbait. He is a mythmaker.

The Democrat defense is to start putting out so much crap the real issues get drowned and then it ALL gets ridiculed. Larry's with berg-associates.com and in the good old days before 9/11 he was advocating we get rid of things like spies and informants and go with the granny frisking airline security we have today instead, perhaps because he's a partner is a "security" company.]

* A quote from the brilliant Larry Johnson :
"Although high-profile incidents have fostered the perception that terrorism is becoming more lethal, the numbers say otherwise, and early signs suggest that the decade beginning in 2000 will continue the downward trend. A major reason for the decline is the current reluctance of countries like Iraq, Syria and Libya, which once eagerly backed terrorist groups, to provide safe havens, funding and training." -------- Larry Johnson, former CIA analyst

* Larry C. Johnson : The 10 former intelligence officers who signed the letter include respected intelligence analysts and retired case officers, including at least two, John McCavitt and William Wagner, who were C.I.A. station chiefs overseas. The former analysts include Larry C. Johnson, a former analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency and the State Department's intelligence branch, and Ray Close and Ray McGovern, former C.I.A. analysts in the agency's Near East division. ---- "Ex-C.I.A. Aides Ask Inquiry by Congress Over Leak of Name," by DOUGLAS JEHL, NY Times, 1/22/04 , http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1158404/posts

Now, if these were Republicans or conservatives, I'll bet a nickle that the NY Times would have made some effort to mention whether any partisan motivation could be behind this. But all I see is silence. Weird. 2 posted on 01/21/2004 8:14:53 PM PST by Dog Gone

Curious that the NY Times wouldn't name the group that sent this letter:Veterans Intelligence Professionals for Sanity. 6 posted on 01/21/2004 8:43:19 PM PST by kristinn

Larry Johnson was also on CNN after Twa 800 blew up, and he was emphatic that the plane was taken down by terrorists. This was the night it happened and in the days that followed. I think that is the first time I saw him in the media though I could be misremembering.

As we all noticed last night the Obama admin has let loose the dogs of disinformation in advance of the weekend. In addition to the pieces from NPR and so on, which studiously ignore the obvious neglect of security leading up to the Benghazi attack to focus on spinning the admin as responsive and concerned about civilian casualties, this Am sees the admin turning loose Clinton’s old 1998 embassy bombings water-carrier Larry Johnson. Funny how with liberals everything hangs on movies. Here johnson appears in a movie pushed by MoveOn, the org created to paper over up Bill Clinton’s illegalities, perjury, etc, and turn it all into a silly thing about sex:

* Moveon.org movie: Mr. David MacMichael, former senior estimates officer, National Intelligence Council, CIA
(Appearance by: Dr. David C. MacMichael, former CIA analyst. Page 7 of the transcript, 7:32 minutes in the movie): “”... very disturbing ... intervention by people particularly from Vice President Cheney’s office and Vice President Cheney himself ... to produce precisely the language which would allow them ... to support the decision to go into Iraq.” -Film “Uncovered”: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War by Producer/ Director Robert Greenwald, 2003, 56 minutes. Independent film by the Producer. Web site: Uncovered.
A transcript of the movie is available online.
Also stars Larry Johnson and Joseph Wilson, Mel Goodman, Scott Ritter, Richard Clarke....
..film was first released in November 2003 via thousands of house parties organized by MoveOn.org...
